Mini Market

Address 596 College Street

Supermarket is where you go to listen to indie bands, dance, drink and pick up strangers. Little sister, Mini M, is a few blocks west in Little Italy - go here for Izakaya and sweet nothings. What the devil is that? When everyone and their franchised friend says Tapas, it takes a savvy marketer to fenangle a new line for choosing many little dishes to share, and so this Pan Asian hub of activity decided to Izakaya their way to fame.

Delightful dishes with spice and bite for a good price; this is the place to meander after a hard days work and treat yourself to rewarding food and drink. In the summer the patio offers terrific spying from twenty year old thugs yo-yo’ing about soccer, to tables of tipsy muscle munchers at the adjacent Diplomatico and families licking gelato arguing about who should walk the dog. I would say this is a great first date spot, but I think of it more of a boyfriend after month one; the sex is good, you are addicted to learning about him and if he rubs your leg under the table, all the better. It's romantic without being cheesy and the kind of spot you will frequent a lot.
