Our Pick of the Week: Toronto Food Film Fest

Toronto is welcoming another film festival this week, and this one is sure to appeal to movie buffs and foodies alike!

Taking place at multiple venues along College Street, the Toronto Food Film Fest serves up a selection of food-focused independent films from around the world along with curated snacks, workshops, and tasting menus from local chefs. This year’s lineup will feature over 20 films screening at the Royal Cinema (608 College St.), including the opening night feature A God in Each Lentil by Italian director Andrea Marini, which follows chef Kiko Moya, his brother Luis, and cousin Alberto on a culinary journey through Alicante.

Super Wonder Gallery (584 College St.) will host panel discussions throughout the festival covering everything from sustainability in the food industry to the future of film, while The Emmet Ray (924 College St.) will offer beer and scotch tasting events.

The Toronto Food Film Fest runs October 4 and 5. Tickets range from $10 to $14 for screenings and $10 to $90 for panels and other events.
