From Friday, Sept. 6 to Sunday, Sept. 8 head to Bloor Street West in the historic Kingsway neighbourhood for The Taste of Kingsway!

This family-friendly community event, designed to showcase local businesses, food, entertainment, and culture, is a great (and free!) way to spend a weekend afternoon. Many restaurants will cook up gourmet food, and special guests will host culinary demonstrations. There will be refreshments from Great Lakes Brewery, an auto show, rock climbing, craft pavilions, buskers, entertainers, and midway rides.

PLUS there will be a charity pancake breakfast to benefit Out of the Cold (an organization that aids Toronto’s homeless), and a dog show (Etobicoke’s largest!) benefiting the Toronto Humane Society. There will be a Then And Now tent educating community members on the Kingsway BIA’s 40-year anniversary, a performance by 604 Records singer Suzie MacNeil (among others), and an autograph signing by hockey stars Curtis Joseph and Wendel Clark.

Are you excited yet? Us, too! So grab your hunny, your little one, your dog, your pal, or all of the above, and hit up The Taste of Kingsway! Explore a new neighbourhood, or celebrate one you already know. Either way, you’re sure to have a time!
