Ever feel like throwing some knives around?

Zirger Academy of Martial Arts (927 Dupont) is offering a Knife Throwing 101 workshop this Saturday night from 6-9 p.m. This fun and informative session will cover the basics of knife throwing, safety precautions, target building, and weapon selection. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and guidance necessary to begin the safe practice of this exciting aspect of martial arts.

The course itself will be limited to 12 participants, providing you with lots of direct coaching and feedback on your throws. Remember, this is a dangerous activity & there is a very strong possibility of ‘bounce back’ (where the knife hits the target in such a way as it comes flying back at you). No amount of instruction or precaution will reduce this risk, so stay on your toes and be ready to move out of the way. You will be required to sign a waiver recognising the risk, and to clarify that you take full responsibility for your own health and safety in regards to this event.

You must wear shoes and long pants to this event. Sandals and shorts is definitely a bad idea. Register here.
