Marchesa Luisa Casati’s Massive Party at the AGO
With Marchesa Luisa Casati as the host, it’s no wonder AGO’s Massive completely sold out weeks before the event.Mischief prevailed at last year’s Speak Easy and no doubt Toronto’s biggest annual art party will, once again, be a vibrant, and loud, fusion of society and art as 1600 people honour and call to the spirit of Marchesa Casati. The portrait of Marchesa, by Augusta John, is a favourite within the AGO’s collection and Massive’s Artistic Director, Bruno Billio, will be transforming Walker Court, and surrounding halls and nooks, into a space that Marchesa would approve of. Venetian, Parisian and Tunisian parlours will welcome Bay St bankers and Queen West gallery owners alike into a passage back in time. We can’t wait to dress up and be art.
