Vamps Like Us Burlesque Company Channels Noir Cinema at the Electric Theatre

Vamps Like Us Burlesque Company is a female-run cabaret-events team. Founded by Laura Desiree and Megan Oldfield, Vamps Like Us are new on the Toronto scene, but they’re already making their mark, vamping it up at events like the opening of Designing 007 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and Mirvish afterparties, and selling out the Gladstone.

On Feb. 21st, they hosted a gala production, Femme Noir, at the Electric Theatre in Kensington Market. Dancers channeled their favourite noir screen sirens, even painting themselves in black and grey hues for a truly authentic experience, a black and white noir classic brought to life.
