Here are some of the albums we can’t get enough of right now!

Lana Del Rey: Honeymoon

Reminiscent of 2012’s Born To Die, and darker than her sophomore effort, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon might be Lana Del Rey’s best album yet.

“We both both know that it’s not fashionable to love me,” Del Rey croons on the album’s title track; there’s something otherwordly about her, and she knows it. Honeymoon is lush and melodramatic, exploring themes of fame, love, drugs, and sadness in a way only Lana could. There’s some unexpected elements too, including a recitation of T.S. Eliot’s poem “Burnt Norton” and a cover of Nina Simone’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood.” It may not be fashionable to love her, but Del Rey makes it hard not to.

Must-hear track: “Music To Watch Boys To”

The Dead Weather: Dodge and Burn

Jack White announced in April that he would be taking a break from touring, but thankfully, the hiatus doesn’t extend to his music. The former White Stripes frontman has regrouped with The Dead Weather for the quartet’s third album and first in five years.

Driven by White’s distinct drumming and Alison Mosshart’s powerful vocals, Dodge and Burn has a more eclectic sound than the group’s previous albums, incorporating elements of ’60s garage rock, punk, blues, and reggae. It’s not their most cohesive effort, but that doesn’t matter – it’s ballsy, engaging, and just an all-around enjoyable listen.

Must-hear track: “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)”

Disclosure: Caracal

Howard and Guy Lawrence, the English duo known as Disclosure, released what was widely regarded as 2013’s best dance album with their debut, Settle. On their follow-up, the brothers prove they still know how to get people moving.

The Weeknd, Sam Smith (who also lent his vocals to Disclosure’s hit single “Latch”), Lorde, Miguel, Gregory Porter, Kwabs, and Lion Babe all make appearances on Caracal, contributing to a slower, sultrier sound. Opener “Nocturnal” contains much of the same disco influence found on The Weekend’s latest release, Beauty Behind the Madness. “Willing & Able” is an infectious, chilled-out house track, while “Magnets” allows Lorde’s breathy vocals to shine.
Must-hear track: “Holding On” (Feat. Gregory Porter)
