Linda Rotua Sormin: Uncertain Ground: Artist Talk and Reception

To commemorate the opening of this landmark exhibition, the Gardiner Museum will host an insightful conversation with Linda Rotua Sormin. The artist will sit down with Chief Curator & Deputy Director Sequoia Miller to discuss the bold ideas behind her ceramic installations. Sormin is currently one of the most exciting voices in sculpture, and this the chance to dive deeper into her artistic practice. There will be a reception after the talk, where you’ll get to meet her and experience her exhibit up close, getting to see a culmination of over 20 years of sculptural designs. More info.

Collective Visions: Celebrating 25 Years of Photography

In 1984, the AGO relied on loans and the support of local collectors to host its first major photography exhibition. Since then, the art gallery has built a rich collection of artworks, many of which will be displayed at Collective Visions. This exhibition is shaped by more than 80 artists, collectors, donors and curators, inviting attendees to participate in a collaborative game. Each participant will select a photograph based on their previous choice, unveiling an unexpected web of relationships, sensibilities, and perspectives, proving the impact of photography in Toronto’s cultural landscape. Process + Practice Double Bill 2025

Catch two exhilarating dance performances at this double bill, one exploring personal growth and the other inspecting female rage. The show will start off with Ostinaty, a thought-provoking piece by Boys’ Club Tap Dance Collective that uses tap dance and jazz to investigate how patterns shape our identity, challenge our growth, and influence how we move through the world. After Ostinaty, audiences will get to see Kiera Breaugh’s new dance piece, Veiled Venom, a poetic exploration of misunderstood power through spoken word and contemporary movement. Fashion Art Toronto

It’s almost time to dress to impress, and get to witness the latest collections from seasoned designers at Fashion Art Toronto. This November, FAT will return under the theme RE:FORM, where designers will present their works at spaces in transition, from converted churches to defunct warehouses, bringing art and fashion to places you would least expect. Fashion Week opens in Scarborough, highlighting a community that is often overlooked by the downtown fashion circuit. Check out brand new lines from House of Hendo and Suburban Deviant, as well as meet 40+ designers and roam through an immersive exhibit at FAT’s main venue, T3 Bayside. More info.
