Adrian Grenier chills in The Underground and babes get inked at The Drake Hotel's TIFF Overdrive Launch Party

You know it’s a raging party when the first text you receive in the morning is, “Did you get that tattoo last night?” We did not. But we did see partygoers nursing bottles of Stella Artois with freshly inked arm tats from the Sailor Jerry Airstream parked out front. And although he didn’t lay down in the truck, Adam Driver of HBO hit GIRLS did sit for a cut in the Crow’s Nest barber shop that took over Room 222.

Beer, blood and bandages: It was that type of dirty rock n’ roll party. As such, it attracted a lot of men with perfect facial hair. Mmmm. Amongst them was Adrian Grenier, who we spotted texting in The Underground. The Entourage star is at TIFF to premiere the documentary he produced, How To Make Money Selling Drugs. Also looming in the dark downstairs was super friendly Tom Green, who was hanging with fellow comedian Kenny Hotz of Kenny vs. Spenny. While some guests hit The Drake black carpet to stargaze, most were actually there for the music. Local act Dinosaur Bones had the lounge rammed with cool kids shaking it in high-waisted mom jeans and lace. When the bands stopped, the hip hop grinding dance party began. Low riding-leg humping to Ol’ Dirty Bastard all the way to 4am. Damn right, that’s how we we kick off TIFF.
