Art Spin, the free multidisciplinary bike art crawl that brings a touch of magic to West End summer nights, is back on Thursday, June 28th

Some of the best summer nights I had last year were spent riding our bicycles around the West End, following the sounds of a trumpet in a massive group of art lovers, taking in performances, installations, galleries, workshop spaces, and spontaneous community bonding. Art Spin is one of my favourite cultural experiences in the city, and they’re back on Thursday, June 28th with their first spin of the season.

The twilight ride is well-curated with a great variety of amazing art pieces, and the Art Spinners lead you to unexpected locations you would otherwise never get to see. My favourite last year? A tie between the top of a Kensington parking garage and skipping rope in an abandoned elementary school. Half the fun of the ride is ambling through city streets en masse, and discovering an inside look at the city’s art scene. You don’t want to miss it!
