On Tuesday, June 2nd, a very special concert will be taking place at The Berkeley Church (315 Queen St. W.) Organized by three young women from Northern Secondary School, with proceeds going to STAND Canada and the Canadian Red Cross, the concert features Tamarama (yes, Jay from The City’s band), as well as Cheap Kicks and Birds of Wales, and a keynote speech from Debbie Bodkin. Bodkin is a police officer who was involved in Darfur as an investigator for the United Nations Commission of Inquiry. For anyone looking to support humanitarian work in the Sudan, or wanting to understand more about the situation and suffering of the people in Darfur, this evening will provide a great opportunity to help, and to learn. An amazing event organized by young people who truly care about making a difference!
