Shedoesthecity is proud to return as a media sponsor for the fourth annual Lucky Ball, in support of Fort York Food Bank. Year after year, this fundraiser has proven to be immensely fun, and it’s definitely the best way to ring in St. Paddy’s Day with a spirited crowd, while giving back to the community.

With food prices continuing to climb, Toronto food banks have already seen a rise in users. Beyond forcing more families to rely on food donations, the spike in food prices (all over the world) has directly impacted the annual food-buying budget for our food banks. Feeling the pressure from both sides, funds raised at this year’s Lucky Ball are more important than ever.

Ever wondered who uses Toronto food banks?

32% are children
55% are women
38% have a college diploma, bachelor’s degree or higher
51% are adults with a disability
25% have lived in Toronto for four years or less
