Oh, so you’re a “foodie?” Is it important for you to know where the food you eat comes from? (It really should be!) Planning to open a restaurant? ALREADY HAVE ONE?? Going to launch a baby food company? Care about sustainable farming? There are countless reasons why you may be just the right person to attend this year’s Terroir Symposium: The New Radicals.

In its sixth year, Terroir is a highly respected event that gathers together the leaders and creative entrepreneurs within Ontario’s hospitality industry for a full day symposium that boasts a lineup of international speakers who are at the top of their field and share a deep passion for good food and wine.

Chefs, winemakers, food writers, hoteliers and business leaders will congregate at the newly refurbished Arcadian Court for inspirational talks, sumptuous eats and of course, food power networking. It’s THIS Monday, there are still tix left. Our advice? SKIP WORK and GO! This is important.

The theme New Radicals denotes that speakers and guests have been carefully selected because their “practices are ingrained in the principles of sustainable food production and local farming. They are collaborative, tactile, resourceful-types who are opening up shop in unassuming spaces serving Michelin-worthy fare.”

Chef Michael Stadtlander will talk about the mega success of Foodstock (We were there! In the mud!) and the importance of community engagement. Second Harvest will talk about working together to serve a community. Expect heated debate over Salt Water Solutions and the future—or lack thereof—of fishing. The international authority of natural wine, Alice Feiring, already has local winemakers, agents and distributors in a flurry of excitement. But what we most want to know is how restaurateur Ken Friedman took inspiration from the Sex Pistols in creating world renowned restaurant The Spotted Pig.

This event oozes flavour. (Sorry, we had to.) No doubt, after a few glasses of wine, conversation will spark about everything from forest mushrooms to homegrown beef.

Get your tix NOW! You only have a couple days left to get in on this. You want to get in on this.
