Block off your calendars from April 22nd to May 14th: Contain/Collect (1550 Dundas Street W) is an interdisciplinary and immersive art show that transforms into a live performance bazaar on the weekends. With 3500 sq. feet of wide-open industrial space as your playground, local visual and performance artists will present work that is inspired by curated vintage posters, prints, and antique furnishings from six collectors featured in the show.

Contain/Collect will challenge any compulsive desires to categorize and limit individual expression. From curated collections to guerrilla performances, you can pick up a mid-century print or take a walk through someone else’s obsession.

Converse, mingle, and collaborate with the artist-collectors – there will be original art pieces for sale by artists Ulisa Deskaj, Melissa Florence, Michael McGlennon, Mätthew Päzzol, Caitlin Brubacher and more. Performers  include Chris O’Bray, Caitlin Brubacher, Mätthew Päzzol and his alternative clown troupe, Kathleen O’Reilley, Sophie Rusnock, Sheelagh Traché, Amy Zampiero and many more.
