From the Forest to the Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia opens at the AGO on April 11. See the extraordinary British Columbia landscape through Carr’s eyes; it’s brooding forest scenes, euphoric skyscapes and indigenous communities.

This exhibition explores Carr’s encounters with the landscape and indigenous art of British Columbia through over 100 paintings, watercolours and drawings, including rarely seen sketches and the recently discovered illustrated journal Sister and I in Alaska, in which Carr documented her 1907 trip up and down the Northwest Coast.

The exhibition will run until July 12, 2015. For tickets or more information, visit here.
