SheRecovers, taking place in NYC May 5-7, is a powerful weekend event for women in recovery, and I am so honoured to be representing Canada in the panel of sober bloggers.

While my journey is largely to do with alcoholism, SheRecovers includes and respects all types of recovery: drug addiction, co-dependency, love and sex addiction, eating disorders and workaholism. It also extends to depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, self-harm, cancer and chronic illness. Since we are ALL recovering from something, there will be plenty of wisdom and support that speaks directly to you.

In my first year sobriety, weekends were the toughest. I would often end up Googling random online recovery meetings and chatting with women in Texas or California at 3am about my feelings. I wish I had access to this community back then.

From a powerhouse lineup of speakers, including spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson, ABC 20/20‘s Elizabeth Vargas, celebrated author and blogger Glennon Doyle, and motivational speaker Gabby Bernstein, to open sharing from a variety of women who’ve been there, this weekend is poised to be incredibly inspirational and full of advice on how to grow, transform, and move forward.

If you are feeling isolated, confused, overwhelmed or unstable – join us. If you are feeling strong, empowered, energized – join us. Recovery is a lifelong journey. Tix are $79 USD and include an entire weekend of programming. Reserve your spot now.
