Feeling a little blah?  Join the club.  Take yourself on a little adventure, sans travel costs, but trying on a different culture right in your own hometown.  This week – do as they do in France, chez vous!  Channel your inner french girl – endlessly chic, hopelessly interesting, and a pleasant existence all in all.  Youpi!

1. Dress all in black.  A beret might be overkill, but overkill’s kind of fun sometimes.
2. Waltz through art galleries and museums endlessly.  Take notes, ask questions.  Make friends!
3. Let your hair run wild and free – no brushes, infrequent washing – but keep it au naturel, not beaucoup trop de…euhh… grease.
4. Purr your sentences, hardly raising your voice above a whisper and pursing your lips in bemusement as often as possible.
5. Keep it simple – getting ready should include washing, dressing in whatever chic clothes you happen to have lying around (no thought process required) sliding a little makeup on if you feel like it, and thoroughly enjoying a glass of red wine as you swivel your hips around your boudoir.  Take.  Your.  Time.
6. Keep dark, dark chocolate close at hand.
7. Slide a paperback novel into the back pocket of your cigarette pants.  Bonus points for philosophy texts.
8. Spend entire afternoons basking in the sun-drenched confines of your local café.
9. Take a long stroll through the park with a picque nicque of baguette, fromage and vin.  Mmm.
10. Loiter in your comfy bed all day with a good book, a bed-jacket and lacy skivvies, and a parade of warm croissants and marmalade.  Reward the manservant bringing these to you as you see fit.  Purrr.
