This week, the African Medical and Research Foundation is bringing back its popular Coffeehouse Speaker Series on global development. The Speaker Series an informal discussion-style event that takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at Urbana Coffee at Bay and Bloor.

This month’s topic will be on international volunteering and will feature three speakers: Jane Baldwin, Program Development Manager at Youth Challenge International; Samantha Dear, researcher on Issues of Reciprocity in International Service Learning Programs; and, Solomon Belay, CUSO-VSO Diaspora Volunteer. If you have ever participated in an international volunteer program, or if you are interested in learning more about it, come out tomorrow evening and share your thoughts and experiences with others. International volunteering is a key element in the topic of global development and we’d love your participation in the discussion.
