À La Derive/Drift Lines @ Articule

Articule brings the beach to you with À La Derive/Drift Lines. Local artist Steve Topping filled Articule with sand as part of celebrations for the artist-run gallery’s 30th anniversary.  Exhibitions and performances by curated artists, gallery members, and the larger public all involve sand as a medium or theme.

For Public Beach, the show’s final weekend, the beach will be available for personal use. People are encouraged to install their own art works, give performances, picnic, or simply loll in the sand.

Saturday, February 6th, at 5pm, Drift Lines concludes with Open Screen, an opportunity to screen and watch complete or in-progress video works.

Finally, if for no other reason than to fill your roommate’s bed with the stuff (hilarious!), capitalize on Articule’s offer of free sand and load up on February 7th.
