Eco-friendly style seekers, look no further for chic and healthy threads. Local Buttons is bringing a new line of ethically made clothing to the city in 3 days!

Local Buttons is an independent, Toronto based company run by two social entrepreneurs who are all about sustainability, creativity, and style. Their grassroots approach to making ethical clothes available in the city makes them a rare and precious gem. We’re pretty confident that they’re changing the world one vest at a time. This year, they’ve combined creative forces with Haiti based NGO, INDEPCO, to create a line of one of a kind vests. The manufacturing of which adds sustainable jobs to the economy in Haiti, creates ethical wage structures, and saves second hand materials from landfills. So you can feel good about lookin’ fly and supporting the good guys.

Come get them while they’re hot off the press, straight from Haiti, this Friday night at 8 PM at Refashioned: a night of Live fashion with local buttons. There’ll be eats, DJ beats, drinkies, and most importantly, inspiring stories and sweet clothes. Check out their blog for more info on ethical purchasing and to learn more about their perspective on fashion.
