Los Campesinos! are the quintessential indie dance band. Mixing pop, punk, serious danceability, a dash of lovable irony, and copious charming accents, Los Campesinos! create a world where the kids love to move.

What started with Neil (guitar), Ollie (drums) and Ellen (bass) getting together to ‘jam’ on Wednesday afternoons so that they wouldn’t have to take part in university sports became one of the most beloved indie bands on the scene.  The youthful septet prove they have no shortage of ingenuity, creativity, and most importantly, energy, with their latest release Romance Is Boring. It’s a record that’s bigger, deeper, more complex and more direct than anything Los Campesinos! has recorded to date. Romance Is Boring is filled out with added brass, strings, drum machines and electronics, packed with guest spots from the likes of Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu, Zac Pennington of Parenthetical Girls and Jherek Bischoff of the Dead Science. This is going the be the background for your most significant summer moments-just wait.

Catch Los Campesinos! Tuesday, April 20th 2010, at Phoenix Concert Theatre. Doors at 8 pm, show at 9 pm
