Congratulations, Polaroid. Just when we thought you were down and out for good, you do something outrageous—and we approve!

Eager to become hot again after recent bankruptcy issues left the once beloved camera company with an uncertain future, Lady Gaga has been announced as the new creative director of a line of specialty imaging products, set to hit retailers later this year—ooh la la!

Polaroid announced their surprising new hire this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where Gaga herself made an appearance. Along with her role as creative director, she will also star in the company’s marketing campaigns, which will focus on the younger audiences of social networking sites.
