Red Carpet Diary: Zac Efron talks about his serious role in JFK film Parkland

If you were alive—heck, even if you weren’t—you know all about the infamous day when John F. Kennedy was shot. Bringing to life the immediate aftermath of the shooting, and the people who fought for the American president’s life, is Parkland. Starring Zac Efron, Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton, Jacki Weaver, and Tom Welling, to name a few, Parkland is a film that director/writer Peter Landesman calls “ferociously personal.” Zac Efron plays Jim Carrico, the doctor assigned to the task of trying to save the president who “starts what seems to be a normal morning.” That is, until JFK is shot. Needless to say, this film is a must-see!
