Ethan Hawke is back in Paris for yet another sensuous love story. But this film is way more dark than Before Sunset. Directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, The Woman in the Fifth tells the story of a college lecturer (Hawke) who flees to Paris after a scandal costs him his job. In the City of Lights, he meets a widow (Kristin Scott Thomas) who might be involved in a series of murders. On the red carpet, Hawke gushes about co-star Kristin Scott Thomas and admits that he didn’t give a shit what the film was about, he’d do anything to work with Pawlikowski. Serious and sexy with more than a hint of danger, this is the kind of film that turns us on and when we are done watching it, we will ensure that a steamy makeout session occurs on a romantic fire escape. Paris, you and Ethan are a seductive pairing.
