Naked Grape wine spritzers in hand, we swayed to fantastic retro beats from the ladies of Bangs and Blush and coveted delicate silver bangles, blouses, and boots at Banana’s Republic’s Bloor St. store last night, all to celebrate the release of Nowhere Boy, Sam Taylor-Wood’s film about the untold story of John Lennon’s rebellious pre-Beatlemania days. Before the screening, we racked up purchases while playing ‘What’s your favourite Beatles song?’ and asking guests if they were a Lennon or a McCartney. It was fantastic to see so many of our readers out to celebrate the film, enjoy great wine and fashion, and of course, music. Thanks so much to all who braved the rain to attend-and if you couldn’t make it out, be sure to catch Nowhere Boy when it opens in theatres this Friday. Click through for pictures from the event!
