On Thursday Nov 18th, Shedoesthecity writers, readers and bona fide style mavens celebrated the launch of the newly redesigned Gap Eaton Centre by trying on warm fuzzy hats, chasing the macaroon man, sliding into some leatherette pants and posing for pics like we were living and breathing Gap ads.

While Bangs and Blush took over the front window, confusing holiday shoppers as to whether they were moving mannequins or just hot DJ’s, we got a lesson on how to shimmer our cheeks by the girls of tarte cosmetics. Following, we danced throughout the store whilst trying on sweaters and scarves, every so often stopping to sip San Pellegrino or to lather on some Burt’s Bees aloe. We may or may not have been packing Gap cookies in our purse. What can we say? The brand tasted real good.

With everything marked at 25% off, a way to toast the newly redesigned space, we ended up getting something for everyone!

…now please, our Gap holiday poem-song:

Boyfriends got boxers in penguin and plaid and mom will love the cashmere cardi about to be had!
Since our sister Liz complains of jeans that don’t fit – we scooped up a pair of navy slim fits.
Our BFF Haley just started to spin, so we found her some pants just right for the gym.
Julie is due at the end of November so we gathered cute cozies for baby’s first December.
It was the pink cheetah fleece for our ten year old niece, who can’t wait to rock the slumber party!

For our mother-in-law all the way in the west, we thought a sequin tote and cable-knit sweater was best.
And a wool bomber and scarf is what we’ll ship dear Dad that will have him looking like a dapper ol’ lad!
Of course, the eve would not be complete if not for a little something special as a treat, so we bought a winter hat with faux fur trim and are officially ready to let the holidays BEGIN!

Now it’s time to make YOUR song! Get on it Blitzen! Snap to it Prancer! We know what’s on our Gap want list. What’s on yours?

Thanks for all who came out! Happy shopping! xo Shedoesthecity
