This past weekend, She Does The City attended @ROMToronto’s monthly ROM After Dark event. The evening was complete with live music and performances from DJ Uyarakq, @beatricedeerband, and Quattuu, plenty of yummy food + drink, games and colouring, and full access to the ROM’s exhibits - including a first-look at their newest immersive exhibit: ‘TUSARNITUT! Music Born of the Cold’.

‘TUSARNITUT! Music Born of the Cold’ celebrates Inuit art, culture, and music. ROM visitors can pick up a pair of headphones and listen in on Inuit women throat singing and dancing, with clips and art dating back to the 1950’s. The museum has translated many of the descriptions into Inuktitut.

The exhibit will be at @romtoronto until September 24th. All Indigenous peoples have free access to the ROM. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
