This summer, get on the Art Bus and venture north to view the McMichael Canadian Art Collection at one of Canada’s most reputable art galleries, and also explore 100 acres of gorgeous tranquil grounds that boast hiking trails and a sculpture garden.

McMichael features a ton of stunning exhibitions that you can marvel at all day long with friends, fam, or just your art-loving self! Current programming includes Laying the Foundation: Works From the Original Gift (running until December 31, 2018), J.E.H. MacDonald: Up Close (running until September 16, 2018), Norval Morrisseau (running until September 30, 2018), Robert Davidson (running until July 1, 2018), …Everything Remains Raw (running until October 21, 2018), and The Art of Canada: Director’s Cut (running until November 18, 2018).

Every Sunday from June 10 to October 28, round-trip transportation to the McMichael leaves from the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival headquarters parking lot located next to 80 Spadina Avenue (King and Spadina) at 10:30 a.m. and heads back downtown at 3:30 p.m. Tix are $15.

Art-goers can also purchase tickets for one of the McMichael’s Signature Performance Series: Acoustic Conversations, which take place on select Sundays this summer. These sessions intertwine conversations and a live performance with influential Canadian hip hop talent such as Michie Mee, Maestro Fresh-Wes and more.

What a pleasant way to spend a summer Sunday!
