Oh, Canada! The Canada Lives Here Experience is a free, interactive exhibit taking place at CBC’s Toronto office (250 Front St. W.) from May 16 to 19. It’s a super cool open house that allows you to experience Canada through the lens of the CBC.

There are a bunch of things to explore and experience, including a movie and various interactive installations like The Hall of Information, The Hall of Music, and The Hall of Sports. Plus, there are a lot of family-friendly activities like the opportunity to dress up like Don Cherry (!), trivia questions and prizes, and a craft zone.

The open house also features a bunch of special Q&A and panel discussions including people like Peter Mansbridge, Amanda Lang, David Sutcliffe, Ron James, and George Stroumboulopoulos. For a full list of these special events, click here.

As someone who has been inside the CBC many a time (and still gets giddy every time), I can say it’s definitely a building worth visiting. Maybe that’s the journalism nerd in me, but there’s something special about getting access to a place that continuously gives you access to the rest of the world.
