The holiday season is a time for showing love to those you care about
and an opportunity to reflect on what really matters in life. All of
us have been touched by Cancer in some way and Doves of Hope is a beautiful program that The Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer
Foundation offers Canadians: a small way to show you care while also
helping to support Cancer research.

Go to dovesofhope.ca and you can easily create your very own dove that can be sent virtually through your social media networks and
further, an physical online version of your dove will also be
displayed in the The Princess Margaret Hospital atrium. Beyond a

caring note, you can choose to decorate your dove with a range of
colours and creative design elements. This is a wonderful way to share
a thoughtful sentiment while also giving back to a hospital that has
done so much for Cancer patients.

Beyond giving back, Doves of Hope show patients that they aren’t alone
in their fight to conquer cancer. Both knowing that other people are
fighting with them and benefiting directly from supporters’ Doves of
Hope donations gives patients and their families tremendous hope
during their journey with cancer. For those spending a lot of time at
the hospital, the Doves on display act as an uplifting installation
during difficult times.

In the past 10 years, over 55,000 Doves of Hope have been dedicated to
people touched by cancer. Patients, survivors, caregivers and family
members have been given hope by these doves.

Make your Dove today to acknowledge someone you love and help Princess
Margaret reach their 2012 goal of 11, 000 Doves of Hope. We think this
would be an extra special activity to do with a child who has lost a
family member or friend. The colourful icons make it easy to create a
one-of-a-kind dove.

Peace. joy, and good health to all!
