Spring Equinox

Believe it or not, spring is here and STACKT Market is kicking things off with a week-long festival. Spring Equinox is all about new beginnings, with kid-friendly workshops, wellness sessions, and food experiences that invite attendees to slow down and be mindful of the new season ahead. ‘Project Hail Mary’ Light Show

Ryan Gosling’s latest film, Project Hail Mary, premieres this Friday and Toronto will commemorate the occasion with a light show happening in the evening. City folks can check it out at East Toronto Harbour, starting 9 p.m. Project Hail Mary follows a science teacher, Ryland Grace, who wakes up inside a spaceship without any recollection of who he is. As he slowly begins to remember why he ended up there in the first place, Ryland is also driven to solve a mystery behind a substance that is causing the sun to die out.

White Girls in Moccasins by Yolanda Bonnell

This theatrical experience by Yolanda Bonnell follows Miskozi on a journey to uncovering herself and her culture, accompanied by her inner white girl, Waabishkizi, and guided by Ziibi, a manifestation of an ancestral river. This odyssey allows her to learn more about her ancestors and the trials they faced having to keep their culture hidden during colonization. Through a humorous approach, White Girls in Moccasins sees Miskozi reclaiming her identity in a society steeped in white supremacy. More info.
