Festivals

The Vancouver International Jazz Festival turns twenty-five this Friday, and they want to party by giving you free events!  If you don’t already have your line-up picked out, at least give one of the free shows a try.

The Cheaper Show is celebrating its tenth year as one of Vancouver’s most unique art festivals.  Head over on Saturday for local and international artists and a reasonable price.

Latincouver is throwing a Carnaval del Sol street party this Sunday to celebrate Latin culture in Vancouver.  Granville Street will be host to a food fair, soccer tournament, and zumba/salsa lessons.  Get your boogie on!

Don’t expect to drive down West Broadway by MacDonald this Sunday.  It’s Greek Day which means pedestrian access only.  Stop by for delicious Greek treats, performances, and the super paradise disco.  That’s right, a disco.

The Waldorf is having their monthly Tropidelica party this Friday, and they’ve brought in an artist from LA to make it special.  Rainbow Arabia will be performing “Arabic and North African infused dance music” while the party rages on in the other three rooms.

If you’re not finding what you need wandering down Robson, try going underneath it.  The Robson Square Artisan Market runs Saturdays and Sundays under the dome at Robson Square (where the ice rink is in the winter).  After you’re done stop by the Gallery Café for a glass of wine on a divine patio.
