She’s swapped in her pointe shoes for cowboy boots, and from June 19 – 23 you can watch first soloist Stephanie Hutchison, along with three male dancers, in the Johnny Cash-inspired ballet, The Man in Black.

The mesmerizing choreography is inspired by line, swing, and step dancing resulting in a performance that is touching, fun, and totally different from the classic ballets you are used to. We love the sound of the stomping boots, and Stephanie’s strong movements bring a different kind of energy to the stage that is beautiful yet tough.

The edgy performance will feature six cover songs by the country legend including our favourites Sam Hall, Hurt from Nine Inch Nail’s frontman Trent Reznor, and If You Could Read My Mind sung by Gordon Lightfoot.
