Sometimes movies with huge all-star casts worry me. Say, for instance, your movie starred Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Max Greenfield (New Girl), Jason Ritter (Parenthood), Maggie Grace (Taken, Lost), Jane Levy (Suburgatory), Max Minghella (The Social Network) and Nate Parker (Non-Stop), I’d be like “woah woah, how can everyone possibly have the screen time they deserve and will I be distracted thinking up great lines from Parks and Recreation??”

In this case, the answer is no. The above cast is all part of About Alex, a new dramedy about a group of Millennials headed out on a friends weekend that goes horribly wrong and oh-so-right all at once. About Alex opens today, and I for one am not worried at all. For a start, the movie looks fantastic:

Right? Just the right mix of real/beautiful/sad/hilarious/sexy. Aaaaand there’s a great contest going on over at Dose.ca where you could win a big ol’ Roots prize pack, to have some weekend-y bags to feel for a dysfunctional twentysomething trip of your own! As if that’s not enough, we’re giving away two passes to see it!  Just tweet: “Hey @Shedoesthecity I’m all #AboutAlex, gimme those passes!” to enter our contest, and head over to Dose to enter theirs.
