Halloween is barely behind us but Toronto dogs are already dressing for the holidays!
This Sunday, the Imperial Room at The Fairmont Royal York will play host to a “who’s who of pooches.” Pomeranians, Great Danes, Yorkies and wiener dogs will pose for the “pupparazzi” in a fierce competition for best holiday getup. Expect pups dressed as reindeer, four-legged elves, snowflakes, doggy dreidels and Santa Paws himself!
Sip on some Earl Grey, mingle with the animals and parade your pooch around with absolute pride. Shedoesthecity’s resident dog writer, Rocky, will be in attendance and he’s most excited to wear his red velvet gown.
This elegant high tea is a prelude of Winter Woofstock festivities to come. If you don’t make it to the holiday high tea this weekend, you can take your dog for breakfast with Santa during the weekend-long Winter Woofstock exhibition that takes place Nov 17-19. More on that to come, but expect 200+ exhibitors, a Dogs of Christmas Past show and a special Doggie Dating Soiree.
We’re certain that Queen Elizabeth and her pack of corgis would approve.
