The Regent Park Film Festival – Toronto’s only free community film festival – has just announced its 2017 programming, and we want you to be the first to hear it! Featuring thought-provoking films, interactive workshops, panels and virtual reality projects, this year’s festival marks fifteen years of storytelling and showcasing diverse stories from communities across the world.

A celebration of both local and international talent, programming includes work from twenty-six Toronto-based filmmakers and four filmmakers from Regent Park. We are especially excited for opening night, which will feature the Emerging Directors Spotlight and Pitch Contest. This year, Regent Park is proud to have a female-dominated night, with ALL directors, jury members and the host identifying as female.

Regent Park is known for its significant revitalization over the last few years – a cultural environment that brings together the many diverse communities from around Toronto. What better way to explore this vibrant community than with a stellar lineup of international and homegrown talent?

The festival runs from November 15th to 18th at the Daniels Spectrum (585 Dundas Street East). It is completely free of charge and includes complimentary childcare!
