Art for Sketch: Jimmy's Coffee is holding a silent auction to raise funds for Sketch, the working art studio for homeless and street-involved youth

We’ve made Jimmy’s Coffee our office more than a few times, and we’ve always loved Sketch, and admired the work that they do – especially when they let us into their kitchen a couple of years ago (AND WE DIDN’T EVEN BURN ANYTHING!). That’s why we’re extremely excited about the silent auction Jimmy’s is hosting at the end of February. The coffee shop hosts featured artists every month, and they decided it was time to team up with those artists and give back to their former neighbours and patrons at Sketch.

The event will feature art from Susana Reisman of Circuit Gallery, Trent Hunter, photography from Jimmy’s regulars, and more. They’re also still accepting submissions, so all artists who are interested in supporting a truly fantastic cause, get in touch before February 13th!

Art for Sketch will take place on Monday, February 27th from 7 pm until 10 pm at Jimmy’s Coffee, 107 Portland St. The work will be showcased for a week before the event, so you can eye your prize over your espresso to get excited to bid. BRING SOME CASH!
