You may recognize @maliabakermsb as the shy secret You may recognize @maliabakermsb as the shy secretary of The Babysitter’s Club, or as the blue-haired daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming in Descendants.

But the new survival thriller ‘Hair of the Bear’ marks a step into darker territory for the 19-year-old actress. In the film, she plays an anxious teenager who finds herself the remote wilderness, fighting for her life in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

We caught up with Malia during her visit to Toronto to discuss how she prepared for the intensity of the role, shooting in a Manitoba winter, and her first credit as an executive producer. ❄️🎬

From Canada AM to @thesocialctv to the House of Commons, Marci’s career has been marked by big leaps, bold moves, and a strong calling to be of service.

As the MP for Toronto Centre and the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth, Marci launched action plans that are still making an impact for women and 2SLGBTQ+ people in Canada today.

In honour of #InternationalWomensDay, we spoke to Marci about the biggest challenges facing women in Canada, her decision to leave politics, and what’s next in her new chapter.

@aislingchinyee is breaking the silence around wom @aislingchinyee is breaking the silence around women’s sexual health.

Our March Artist of the Month directed the documentary ‘The Pink Pill: Sex, Drugs, and Who Has Control’, telling the story of Addyi (aka the female Viagra) and the decade-long fight to bring it to market. 💊🩷

The double standard is clear: while Viagra was fast-tracked for FDA approval, Addyi went through a years-long journey to approval, marked with gender bias at every turn.

Just in time for #InternationalWomensDay, The Pink Pill opens up much-needed conversations about women’s sexual health, gender equality in healthcare, bodily autonomy, and female pleasure.

For Aisling, this project deepens her commitment to centring marginalized voices, a common thread across her filmography and her work in co-founding the #AfterMeToo campaign.
