Attention all sweets lovers: Sweetery, Canada’s largest confectionery festival, is back this weekend!

The two-day festival will take over David Pecaut Square (55 John St.) to celebrate local chefs, students, and artists while also giving back to Second Harvest, a Toronto-based non-profit organization that delivers donated and surplus food to people in need. Vendors include Eva’s Original Chimneys, Holy Cannoli, Ida’s Cookies, The Pie Commission, and All You Knead Bakery along with MasterChef Canada competitors Steven LaPointe, Rozin Abbas, and Andre Bhagwandat.

There will also be live musical performances happening both days and a screening of the 2019 live-action Aladdin—starring Canada’s own Mena Massoud—on Saturday night (weather permitting).

Sweetery takes place Saturday, August 10 from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday, August 11 from noon to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
