It Starts Somewhere: We Chatted with Opioid Crisis Activist Sarah Keast, Who Lost Her Husband to an Accidental Heroin Overdose

In 2016, Sarah Keast lost her husband, Kevin, to an accidental heroin overdose. A widow with two small children, she began to use writing as an outlet for her grief. On our latest podcast, Keast discusses how she’s survived since Kevin’s death, and how her blog, Adventures in Widowed Parenting, has helped her find her voice as an activist for Canada’s opioid crisis. Keast is one of the speakers at this year’s sold-out TEDxToronto event, happening October 26 at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works.
