Check out the release of Wet Bum, directed by Lindsay MacKay, Friday May 15! This coming-of-age film was developed as part of TIFF’s professional development program STUDIO and stars Julia Sarah Stone. Stone plays an awkward teenage outcast who finds unlikely companies in the retirement home where she works. As her relationship with them deepens, she finds worlds far more complex and intriguing than the one inhabited by her peers. Wet Bum is a poignant debut whose hard-won wisdom belies the youth of both its star and director.
On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 from 10am to 6pm, all regular film screenings plus special family films and events at TIFF Bell Lightbox are completely FREE, courtesy of Bell!
There will be an intro and Q&A with director Lindsay MacKay at 6:45pm.
