10:30 am “Every. Now. Then: Reframing” Opening @ Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas St. W. This ambitious contemporary exhibition marks Canada’s 150th anniversary and aims to address the mistakes of the past, rewrite and reclaim history, and articulate the need to take certain moments to stop, reflect, question and analyze as we move forward as a country. Featuring new and recent projects by artists from across Canada. Runs until December 10th.

8 pm Toronto Loves: Amy Winehouse @ Studio Bar, 824 Dundas St. W. For one night only, some of Toronto’s most talented singers, visual artists, and DJs will come together to pay tribute to Amy Winehouse. $10.

A cosmic dance party, celebrating the world of Letters to the Universe by Shaunga Tagore, a play in development about a brown, femme super-queero’s magical life story as she time travels through portals, alternate dimensions, the heart of the underworld, and into heights and hopes of the galaxies. 7 pm #FNLROM: O Canada @ Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queen’s Park. Bring this #FNLROM season to a climax by celebrating Canada 150, with complimentary access to “Out of the Depths: The Blue Whale Story,” “Anishinaabeg: Art & Power,” and “The Family Camera.” $17 tickets available online and at the door.

10 pm 100% Dynamite @ The Piston, 937 Bloor St. W. DJs General Eclectic, Misty, and Parkdale Funk spin the explosive sounds of vintage reggae, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll! 11 am Canada’s 150th @ Steam Whistle Brewing, 255 Bremner Blvd. Steam Whistle Brewing partners with Hudson’s Bay to celebrate Canada’s 150th in true Canadian fashion, with live music, Canadian comfort food, a pop-up shop, and of course, Steam Whistle beer. Until 1 am.

8:30 pm Canada 150 ​Fireworks Cocktail Cruise @ Oriole (Mariposa Cruises), 207 Queens Quay W. Celebrate Canada’s 150th with​ cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, ​and unobstructed views of the Canada Day fireworks show backdropped by the Toronto skyline!​ Guests ​b​oard the Oriole for a three-hour cruise on Lake Ontario​, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. $64 tickets available online.

7:30 pm Canada D’Eh 2017: Trivia & Karaoke @ The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W. The Gladstone’s Melody Bar is hosting everything kitschy Canadiana on July 1st, and in true Canadian style, it’s all free!
