From the Canadarm to the electric wheelchair, from the walkie-talkie to the snow blower – Canadians have long been at the forefront of technological innovation and scientific discovery.

To celebrate these remarkable achievements in our 150th year, the Ontario Science Centre has launched Canada 150: Discovery Way. The installation focuses on the Canadian stories behind transformational inventions and innovations, from the far reaches of space to common household items.

By highlighting the curiosity, critical thinking and courage necessary for scientific discovery, Canada 150: Discovery Way will encourage you to ask questions, make observations and test ideas of your own. Through amazing artifacts ranging from the lightbulb to the flight recorder, you’ll gain a better understanding of Canada’s unique scientific achievements. Maybe it’ll inspire you to be Canada’s next great innovator!
