7 pm Nollywood Babylon @ NFB Mediatheque, 150 John St. A documentary about the explosive popularity of Nigeria’s low-budget movie industry. FREE

7:30 pm Vermilion Souls@ Cinecycle, 129 Spadina Ave. The Toronto premiere of Masaki Iwana’s film, which captures the 1959 “Dance of Utter Darkness,” which shook the butoh dance establishment. The screening will include short talks and a dance performance. $10
