Love dogs? WHO DOESN’T? Join us this coming Sunday for the first of four Walking Woof Workouts along Toronto’s waterfront. We will begin at Purina’s PawsWay (245 Queens Quay West) at 9:30AM, and then head west along the waterfront to Little Norway park. The walk has been designed with little ones in mind (moving slowly, stroller-friendly and built-in park time) but is open to all animal lovers and their four-legged friends.

Don’t have a dog? Not to worry! You can still walk one! Our friends from Save Our Scruff will be joining us with some of their rescue dogs up for adoption. If you’ve ever wondered about having a dog, but weren’t sure if your lifestyle is the right fit, or have ANY questions, the ladies from Save Our Scruff will be happy to answer you. (Also, the entire PawsWay is a centre dedicated to pets, so undoubtedly a tour through the pet-friendly building will help you on your pet fact-finding mission.)

We are super excited for this special woof walk, as there is nothing my 13-month-old son loves more than dogs. “Dah” was his first word, and every morning we start the day with a walk to the park to point at dogs and enthusiastically exclaim, “Dah!!!” It’s a game that never ever tires. (Luckily I love dogs just as much as he does.) So, will you come “Dah!” with us this Sunday?

Bow-wow-wow! Here’s how we woof walk:

9:15/9:30: Meet at Purina PawsWay (245 Queens Quay West)

9:30/9:45: Get acquainted with dogs with some treats and shake-a-paw

9:50: Depart, walking westbound on Queens Quay towards Music Garden

10:00: Take a break in Little Norway park. Dogs can play in the field, and kids can play in the park.

10:20: Head back towards Purina PawsWay

10:45: Photos with pets

Guests are then welcome to spend time at the Purina PawsWay facility to check out the exhibits and learn more about responsible pet ownership.

This is a free event, open to humans, dogs and pet lovers of all ages. For more information about Purina Pawsway, or to check out other upcoming Woof Walks go here.
