Want to be a delegate at TEDxToronto? The application deadline is August 11th.

On October 22nd, 2015, TEDxToronto will host its 7th annual full-day conference. This year’s theme is “thresholds,” which organizers are touting as the boldest theme yet. “It signifies a profound change,” says TEDxToronto co-chair Negin Sairafi, “You’ve either reached a threshold and come to an epiphany, or you’ve walked through a doorway and come out a different person, or have a new perspective…it’s an amazing starting point for all of our talks.”

As with most TED talks, not only are speakers chosen carefully, but the audience is also carefully curated. “Part of that is about ensuring the people in the room aren’t just those who can afford to buy the ticket. We’re not targeting a specific industry. We want all types of people, from different walks of life, different ages, different experiences and background.” Says Sairafi.

What exactly are they looking for in a delegate? “We want them to all have a few things in common, that they’re passionate, that they’re interested and intrigued by new ideas and they’re action oriented and willing to share.” Sound like you? APPLY NOW! Submissions are due August 11th.

Like all TED events, TEDxToronto will be an invaluable experience that will change the way you think.
