My best friends and I love the art of taking photobooth photos. I’m not talking about the application on your MacBook (and yes, those sketch-effect photos need to de taken down on your Facebook). I’m talking the “Four Pictures, Three Minutes, Four Dollars”-kind of pictures that you would normally find in your neighbourhood mall, right next to that Orange Julius. Unfortunately in recent years, I’ve seen these beloved booths be slowly replaced by digital-sticker-picture hybrids that cause me to wince, and the photobooths at weddings and events just don’t cut it. So, I’ve compiled a list of all the booths I know of (thus far) in the lower mainland. So go support the analog lifestyle, grab some loonies, and jump in the nearest photobooth, you never know when you’ll see another.

Lougheed Town Centre, 9855 Austin Road, Burnaby
I’ve taken my entire family to this location, which is by The Bay and an eyeglass store. I recommend hitting up the dollar store for some costumes and taking some new family portraits.

Pacific Centre, 609 Granville Street, Vancouver
This one is a little harder to find, it is tucked in an unknown hallway connecting Pacific Centre and Vancouver Centre. My brother and I were at this location trying to make a Christmas present for our mom and ran out of money. I yelled out, “Does ANYONE have a loonie?!” and Santa came early with a Good Samaritan coming to our rescue with a dollar.

Pacific Central Station, 1150 Station Street, Vancouver
Pretend you’re about to embark on an adventure at the train/bus station at the Pacific Centre Station lobby. I might have spent more than I’m willing to admit on strips with my best friends.

Antisocial Skate Shop, 2337 Main Street, Vancouver
Hopefully this one will be turned on when you get there, this booth in particular is pretty iffy.

Also: Check out Photobooth.net for locations globally. I figure if we support locally the photobooth industry we can get more in town!
