If you could go for a cocktail with your style icon, who would it be, what would you drink, and what would you (hope to) talk about?
Kate Hepburn. We’d meet at Fenwick, her (now destroyed) home in Connecticut, drink coffees and later on beers, I’d help her put together dinner, and we’d talk about whatever she wanted to talk about – though of course I would want to ask her about Howard Hughes and Cary Grant.

My glasses. Can’t see without them.

What trends do you expect we’ll be seeing a lot of at LGFW?

Probably religion, is this a trick question?

What’s your favorite style decade?
This is tricky too! Lately I’ve been picking up old glossies from the 90’s, but I can dig any decade. This past ten years has been pretty good to me.

“Thugs” by the Tragically Hip.

If you could purchase an extravagant item in the quadruple digits – what would you buy?
The perfect black wool winter jacket. Or a fancy office chair. Or, to be practical, a new computer.

Toronto Fashion Week is no longer taking place in Nathan Phillips Square, but on the future site of a condo development in Liberty Village. Thoughts?
I liked the Nathan Philips Square location for selfish reasons, because it’s a short walk for me. The new neighborhood is pretty nice too.

What are you most looking forward to at LGFW?
Hanging out with friends, watching fashion and talking fashion.
