On November 2nd, we hope you join us and Jeanne Beker for A Heel of a Good Time at The Bata Shoe Museum, an inaugural fundraising gala that will support programming at Dress for Success Toronto.

We all know that when it comes to landing a job, half the battle is looking the part; Dress for Success Toronto’s programs support disadvantaged women in their journey towards economic independence by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Shedoesthecity is proud to partner with this amazing event that invites you to Strut the Red Carpet in your “Most Memorable Shoes”, connect with like-minded young professional women while having a “Heel of a Good Time!” Guests will enjoy refreshments, hors d’ouevres while also taking in a wonderful fashion show featuring the EDIT by Jeanne Beker denim collection and Ron White Shoes. Other designers include local favourites GISH (Girls in Skirts), Sarah Stevenson and MINK.

Whether you work in the fashion industry or not, Jeanne is a dynamic inspiration to all of us and this evening will also celebrate her book Finding Myself in Fashion. Through both professional and personal setbacks, this is Jeanne’s candid account of a life lived to the max. Canada’s fashion icon will be in attendance for book signing and meet and greet.

We really believe in this charity as it truly helps women kick start their career and life when they most need support. We hope you can join us for this festive occasion, as beyond helping those in need, The Bata Shoe Museum is such an original and fascinating space that combines history and style in an ingenious way that provokes creativity and will have you thinking about shoes in a totally new and creative way.

Rally your girlfriends, slip on some outrageous pumps and come meet Jeanne and join us for this special gala on November 2.
