After an extremely long period of time without live comedy, hearing that Gay AF Comedy is producing a series of four outdoor comedy shows this August lit us up with good vibrations. What’s even better? These LOL events, happening Saturday afternoons, will take place on the picturesque gardens of Campbell House Museum, and the comedians on the bill will make your jaw drop.

The first three headliners are all women we adore: Elvira Kurt (Aug 7), Martha Chaves (Aug 14), Tamara Shevon (Aug 21), hosted by Canadian Comedy Award winner Robert Watson. See the full hot-as-hell lineup for each show here

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to safely gather and enjoy some much needed laughs,” says Watson, who pre-pandemic presented Gay AF out of Toronto’s iconic Comedy Bar. “Gay AF has always showcased comedians from the many intersections that exist within the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and this courtyard series will follow those same values of inclusivity as it brings lots of laughter to downtown Toronto.”

Meet up with a friend you haven’t seen in ages, throw down a blanket, and howl until you cry. Sounds like just the kind of medicine we need right now.

To ensure that social distancing measures are in place, there are only 70 spots available for each show, so move on this. Shows kick off at 3PM on Saturdays in August. Tickets are $20.
